But although the burlesque community generally says she is an excellent professional performer, and everybody looooves her costumes and props, as far as I know, it did not elect her reigning Queen. --That was the mainstream media. <br /><br />Dita may be the icon of Classic burlesque, but I think she actually has very little in common with the more performance art oriented NYC scene. Can you picture her appearing in a lobster costume, or something equally absurd?
